My Love for Photography
I started off doing photography as a child infatuated with meteorology. I would record myself doing weather reports and capture as much of South Carolina’s weather phenomena which went to the extent of rain and snow, if I was lucky. My first camera was a white Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 that I got for Christmas one year in high school. I adored it, capturing as any memories as I should with my limited film including candid portraits of my family, my favorite items, and attempts at capturing snow.
My photography remained casual, making do with my phone until I borrowed my friend’s Canon Rebel and absolutely fell in love with photography all over again. This time around I began capturing landscape photography of my adventures around North Carolina exploring much of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I wouldn’t truly learn how to use a camera besides pose and shoot when I got my own camera for my 21st birthday, my tried and true Pentax K-3 II that has been lovely by my side as a faithful companion. In the majority of the pictures my partner has of me, you can see me either in the midst of taking of picture or holding my delightful camera.
